RESPONSIBILITIES
Simona joined Trustmoore Bulgaria in June 2023 as a Junior Legal Account Manager in the Capital Markets team.
In October 2024, she transferred to the Compliance department. She is currently responsible for overseeing client due diligence, identifying integrity risks, and ensuring that they are adequately mitigated.
FOCUS
Simona focuses on ensuring clients’ compliance with local, European and international regulations and Trustmoore’s internal policies. She is particularly focused on risks related to anti-money laundering.
EDUCATION
Simona graduated with distinctions in Law from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 2022. While pursuing her studies, she participated in the Erasmus+ program and spent one semester at the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
Additionally, she was part of her university’s teams for multiple moot court competitions in public international law, international commercial law and arbitration. She coached Sofia University’s Jessup Moot Court Competition team between 2022 and 2024.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Before joining Trustmoore’s team, Simona was an Associate in a Bulgarian law firm, focusing primarily on corporate and commercial law. In 2025, she completed a traineeship in the Securities Markets Unit of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union.
